I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Brenda on the North East Adopt a Family program and saw first hand her tremendous dedication and hard work. I will remember her for her great compassion and kindness for those less fortunate and for her never ending efforts to build community. She left this world a better place than she found it.
Roy and Family,
Brenda was such a generous and kind person and mentored both Tom and I through our years with scouting. Brenda you will be missed but never forgotten.

To: Roy, Byron, Thomas and Theresa, spouses and grandsons, although I am unable to attend services on Wednesday, my thoughts and deepest condolences will be with you all. There are mainly three things that come to my mind about Brenda although there are many after having known her since for 22 years. 1. Her strong fast commitment to Scouts Canada 2.Her strong faith and charity work and 3. Her strong involvement and inception of North East Calgary Adopt a Family Society. We began with delivering hampers to needy families in 1989, evolving into Brenda championing the cause to form a society with charitable status. Brenda could be counted on being front and centre when I approached her with new projects like starting the school supplies program or being the fiscal agent through NECAAFS for the Ngapagok Sudan School project. I will miss her dearly but I know that her accomplishments, lets get it done, and charitable works will live on. We shared many great moments and April birthdays… God be with you all.
