Condolences
Dear Debbie and Darlene and family,
I just received a letter from Elsie yesterday and can’t tell you how shocked and saddened I am to learn it will be the last one. She was an extraordinary person; I will really miss her. My thoughts and sympathy are with you all.
Darlene and Judi
Just thinking about you both and your recent loss. It will be comforting to know, Darlene, that your mom is in that special teachers’ heaven resting peacefully.
Dear Debbie and Darlene;
We were so sorry to read about Elsie. She and Bill were such good neighbours to Mom for over 30 years. It is hard to believe they are all gone now. After Dad passed away, it would have been much harder on Mom to maintain her home, if Bill and Elsie had not helped. Elsie was always so good with our children, Jeff and Dave, when they were little. I am sorry that we willl not be able to make the funeral service, but know that we are thinking of you and wish you happy memories of a wonderful woman
Our deepest sympathy for you at this difficult time. Your mother was an excellent teacher, both the Ellison girls have fond memories. A dear friend to both Bob and Lorine (deceased). May you find comfort and smile with good memories of your mother, which will help you at this time. Elsie will be deeply missed.
Darlene and family: Read of your dear mothers passing and wish to relate my heartfelt sympathy to you, your family and Judi. No matter what the age of our mothers when they leave us the pain of our loss is devastating. I can imagine that she has left you with many stories from her years of teaching and mentoring children. I know she must have been a remarkable human being.
Maureen and Steve Siegfried
My sincere condolences to the family of Elsie(Mrs.)Hayes.I remember her well, as my Grade 1 teacher back in 1962 at Sherwood School(now Sherwood Community School). Years after,she still remembered my name & that of my younger brother & sister. She got a lot of people started on the road to education.
