To the family of Mr Cherban,
Due to unfortunate circumstances I did not get to know Zenan or yourselves. But, now getting to know my daughter Erin’s husband Brent, and little Clive, it’s plain to see that he had to have been a very nice man throughout his life. His loss to you all must be tragic. Please accept my sincerest sympathy in your loss. Wish I could have played golf with him.

To The Zen Cherban Family:
A sad day for me….He was one of my favourite men in the world of policing.
I joined in 1969 and he was someone very special..over the years he treated me so well and with respect that ..for the first time in many years I cried upon hearing of his death…
Although you may not know me ..please remember that your husband, father and friend..was a very kind peaceful, helpful human being…I am a better man for having known him…
I hope to see him again..
Kindest regards…..
Mike Beal
