Condolences
Janet and Family,
Our sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad and Grampa.
He certainly had a full life and we would have been honored to have met him.

Dear Audrey and family
I am very sorry to hear of Don’s death. He was always a cheerful face on Mondays when he came into the Education Office at the Zoo. I learned much from him, including advice and hint when working with the hoofed stock we had at the time. I can still see him walking the llamas. And I often think of his remark about how he was always cautious around young men and pick-up trucks, and find myself being the same! He had a great sense of humor and he will be missed.
My sincere condolences at this time.

I had the great honour and pleasure to see Don many days at the Calgary Zoo. I can still picture his crinkly smile and hear his raspy chuckle as he would share yet another joke or witty observation. He was a bright spot in my day and I am saddened to hear of his passing. The world will miss such a fine old friend. We all can learn how to live our lives well and with such vigor from our memories of Don.
