Condolences
I just stumbled across the note saying Charlie passed away – all my thoughts are with you. I lost my Mom last August and know it is a very hard time for you. He will be missed by many, but his smile and chuckles will be fondly remembered . . . .
You have lost a wonderful, wonderful man-so very sad!! Our memories of Charlie go back about 45 years – through Kinsmen and more particularly through Free Style Skiing. He was instrumental and great early mentor to our son Todd in his early days in the sport. Through this start he advanced from a participant to coaching and administration with the Canadian Free Style Team and is now an executive on the U.S. Olympic Committee. Without Charlies’ encouragement to Todd, Eleanor and myself – who knows? Bless Him – with great memories of Charlie and Betty we shall all remember him so well.
Sue, Georgia and Jeff, please accept my condolences on the loss of your father and grandfather. Charlie was my friend for over 30 years, a client who’s word was his bond, an honourable and decent man, generous and sharing. He was a mentor to many, a confidante, calm in a crisis. There was none better. More than a stand up guy, he was also a colourful character who led a life much larger than most.
Diana and I are away and not able to attend the memorial. Our thoughts are with you.
I was so very sad to hear about Charlie’s passing. He was one of the good guys!
From Cliff & Kay Bulmer–Shoal Harbour Sidney.
Charlie was a great guy–we all will miss him very much.
Our sincere condolences to his family.
On behalf of my mother, Helen Tapping, and ourselves, we want to extend our most sincere sympathies to Carell-Ayne and all of Charlie’s family at this sad time. We were blessed to become friends with the Lindsay siblings when my Mom marrried their Uncle Alf. Of all the many memories we will keep in our hearts of Charlie, the most vivid was the day he brought Alf’s namesake Racehorse “Uncle Alfie” to the front door to meet Alf.
You are all in our prayers.
I met an knew Charlie through Carell-Ayne. I am so sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. He was such a great guy and treated my Mom and my family with such caring and grace. I am sending my deepest condolensces to his family and most especially to Carell-Ayne. We had such good times and memorable moments together.
It is with great sorrow that I learn of Charlie’s passing. Few people in my life have been so important to both myself and my family. It has been a richer life with Charlie in it and I am honored that he considered me a friend. My sincere condolences go to your family and all who loved you.
Forever you friend,
Ron & Family
I was so very sorry to hear about Charlie’s passing. We met through the lumber industry many, many years ago. He had such a positive outlook on life, always a story to tell and a smile on his face. I will miss him very much.

To all Charlie’s family,
I knew Charlie for the 30 years I have worked at Lyle Forest Products in Chilliwack BC. I loved his humour, enthusism and admired him for his ethics and reputation in the lumber industry.
He will be sadly missed

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Charlie. I was connected by way of the lumber business and occasionally as his guest at Willow Park Golf Course. Charlie was an astute businessman and a fine fellow. I allways welcomed his words of advice, and encouragement as well as his companionship.

Charlie was a Good Friend to us and our Children. We all worked for him at times, he stuck with me for 36 years. Everybody is better for knowing him, and the Charlie stories will continue long after he’s gone.
Our whole Family send our deepest condolences to the Lindsay Family.
I was very sad to read of the passing of Charley. I remember him from our days in Kinsmen and more recently was fortunate enough to cross paths not long ago. I will always remember Charley for his easy smile and down to earth attitude. My sincere condolences to his family. We were all lucky to have had him in our lives.
Kindest regards,
Larry O’Connor
