Obituary of BROWNLEE – John Allan
February 15, 1954 – April 15, 2011
John Allan Brownlee, 57, passed away April 15, 2011, with his wife by his side in Calgary, AB.
John leaves behind his wife Edme; her children, Francisco (Silvia) and Pablo (Mirna); his children, Elijah, Anna and Daniel; and his grandchildren, Francisco Jr. Edme, Miranda and Ezekiel. He is survived by his sisters Elaine and Linda and his brother Gary. He is joining his brothers, Lloyd and Raymond; and his parents James and Frances Brownlee.
John was born February 15, 1954, in Red Deer, AB. He loved to teach, to share and to think. Characterized by a profound sense of truth and fairness, he devoted his career to improving people, communities and the planet.
A memorial service will be held at the Bow Valley Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (2526 – 24 Avenue N.W.) on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers John requested that donations be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Fund.
