Condolences
Dear Rubin and Scott:
As a friend from the distant past, I wish to send you my deepest sympathy. This road is very difficult, but we have a gracious God who loves us and sustains us.
With Love,
Erika
My deepest sympathy to Mr Fuhrmann and Scott. I will always remember Bette for the kindness and support she extended to me in Vancouver as my paralegal mentor. She was also a great friend who took in every lovely moment of life and shared it with enthusiasm. Bette will be greatly missed and always remembered. Bless you both at this difficult time and may you find comfort in your memories of Bette and knowing she is now with God.
Bette played a key role in her family and she will truly be missed by Rubin and Scott. I offer my sincere condolences to both of them at this, their time of need. Bette’s interaction with her community of friends and relatives allowed her to touch their lives in her own unique way. May she now rest in peace, having fought a good fight.
Love,
Lavern
Dear Rubin and Scott – I feel I know you through so many wonderful conversations with Bette over the years we have worked together. She spoke of you both always with such love and it was great to hear about you and your close ties as a family. Please accept my heartfelt prayers and sympathy at this difficult time. Bette was greatly loved, admired and respected by her friends and colleagues at work. Sincerely, Liz Grossick.
To all of Bette’s family, my sincere sharing the passing of “Bea”, as we celebrate the life of a wonderful, caring, and thoughtful person, who made everyone in her circles of activities feel as though they were so important. It was her gift.
My condolences go out to your family. I had the pleasure of working with Bette at Bennett Jones. She was a beautiful person. She had a great sense of humour and was extremely kind. She will be missed.
Dear Family,
My sincerest condolences on Bette’s passing. I last spoke to her at the Bennett Jones Christmas party in December. She was in good spitits as she always was here and said how much she enjoyed to be out. Bette was a very brave classy person and in this time of remembrance I hope the joys of her life and your wonderful memories with her will sustain you all. A great and brave lady has left us and we are a better institution for having known her.
Sincerely,
John Cordeau
Dearest Rubin: What a shock to hear that Bette has passed. My thoughts are with you and Scott at this time. I shall cherish my memories of my time with Bette. Of the meals that she and I (and sometimes you) shared; of the bridge lessons that she gave me and others, and of her listening and helping ways. High among my memories will be the vacation that Bette and I had in Ottawa. Condolences, Marianne Reid
Rubin and Scott: May the Holy Spirit bring comfort in this time of loss. Bette is with the Lord now and will not be in pain.
I have many fond memories from the Coquitlam Alliance days. Bette truly had a loving servant heart.
Sincerely,
Steve Bailey
Mr. Fuhrmann and Scott, My heart aches for you both during this time. Your wife/mother was such an amazing person and she will truly be missed. I am sorry for your loss.
Having lost a parent I know there are no appropriate words.
I will always remember Bette’s laugh and encouraging hug, her leadership at summer Camp when I was growing up, the trip to Seattle to take us to the airport to jet off for our first year away at College, her love and friendship for my Mom and her steadfast love of her family and God.
I believe this verse reflects how Bette lived her life….
Love each other deeply, because love will cause many sins to be forgiven. Open your homes to each other, without complaining. Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace. 1 Peter 4:8-10
Thank you God for the blessing that Bette was to me and my family. She is missed!
Susan Rafter nee Radford
