Condolences
I just googled Peters name and was shocked to see this. I am deeply saddened by Peters passing as he was a great friend. I had lost touch with Peter when I moved away from Calgary in 1988 but have lots of great memories. He is saddly missed!!
Quite a shock to hear of this. I worked with him for a number of years at CK Steel and again at TIW Industries.
He was part of the legend and part of “the old family” at CK.
I know we lost touch, recently meeting only at funerals.
Sorry to have missed him.
Bev,
My sincere condolences, wishing you strength.
Cheers.
Beverley
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Peter was a great individual and helped me alot in my business over the years. Fond memories on the fishing trips.
Dear Beverly,
I am so sorry for your loss. Peter was truly an amazing man. His love for you was obvious in the way he looked at you and sought out the peace your presence gave him. Your love and care for him warmed my heart.

I had the pleasure of working with Peter for 12 years and we became good friends over those years. He was the most lovable person one could ever meet. My deepest sympathy to all the family. He will be missed tremendously.

I played soccer with Peter late in his career and when he stopped playing he coached me for awhile. Many a time he gave me coaching tips well into the wee hours. Finally at the Stanley Matthews tournament I coached him, the best soccer experience for so many of us. About Peter there are many stories to be told, so many memories to be shared. Such a good friend, so charismatic, so sweet, he always made you feel special whenever you entered the room and at the same time he never missed a chance to tease you. He died far too young. I really can’t think of anyone else in the soccer community as popular as Peter. We will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace.
My heart goes out to you all at this sad time. I’ve known Pete Kirk Sr. since I was 15 years old, and will always remember what a strong and powerful personality he had. I have many fond memories of laughing with Peter because he always told such a funny tale… Whenever I hear a Paul Simon song (‘Diamonds in the Soles of her Shoes’) I think of him. He will be sorely missed.
Luv to you Pete Jr., Dave, Paul and the rest of the family. I’ll be with you all in my heart on Monday.
Luv Ali xoxo
