On behalf of myself and my family we would like to send all of our special thoughts and saddness to the Newmarch’s. Bev and Chuck have been a very special friend to the Ng family, it is such a great loss to our family. We have been friends since 1970, Bev was a volunteer at the YWCA teaching new Canadians English and my father was one of her student. Bev has a such big big heart for everyone. She will always give a helping hand to anyone without a question. She is such a special lady, she is God gifted.
Thank you Bev for been a special friend to the Ng family. You will always be in our heart forever. We all love you!!
With Sympathy,
Susie, Tim, Jimmy, Mr and Mrs Ng
On behalf of myself and my parents John and Isamay, I want to send you all our thoughts and to say how saddened we are by the news of Bev. Your family has been a joyful part of my parents lives, and they speak so highly of both Bev and Chuck. While I have not seen you for ages I did get news from my mom now and then, so there has been an ongoing sense of connection. Bev called my dad not so long ago to see how mom is and that was so much appreciated. Very best wishes, Barbara Ballachey
We are truly sorry for such a great loss. Bev was a special friend to Aveline MacFarlane (Jean Mair’s sister in law)and her children Marilyn and Brian over the years. Bev and Chuck were always kind and spent many good times with the family. They were there to show Marilyn the ropes of living “in the big city” of Calgary after she moved from Saskatchewan in 1960 to continue her nursing career. Marilyn is also thankful for including her in the Sunday dinners and the trips to the mountains to learn how to downhill ski. When Aveline (Marilyn and Brian’s mother) moved to Calgary in 1999 at the age of 88, Bev and Chuck came to visit a few times to celebrate special birthday milestones and also when Bev’s best friend, Margaret Matson (Aveline’s sister) and her family came to visit from Scotland. Thank you Bev for the time you spent with us. We have fond memories from the past.
Dear Keith, Cathie, Marion, Bruce and families,
We were so sorry to read the news of Bev’s death in the Herald. She was a special lady and I have fond memories of her through the many years of being neighbours and friends on Maryland Place. She was a special mentor and friend for me in my university years when I was in need of some extra wisdom and guidance and I’ll always remember her specially for that. Although I’m sure you all miss her very much right now, you’ll have some wonderful memories of a special person to comfort you, and to enjoy and share together in the future. Cathie, we never did manage that lunch we talked about – I feel sad about that, but it would be great to get together with you when you can manage it.
Dear Marion and family,
I was deeply saddened by the news about the passing of your mom. I am so very sorry. This must be very difficult for you all. Please remember that you are in our thoughts.
She was such a wonderful person. I remember the days when I was in her Brownie pack. She was very kind.
My mom (Eleanor Seaman) was so sad to hear her dear friend Bev had passed away. She wanted you to know she was thinking of you as well.
With Sympathy,
Marilou Hamel
