Dearest John, Angela, Ben, Frankie, Christian & Danny,

Gid shaped & cemented Jamie’s & my childhood. We were a little Shalford gang (no hoodies) that would spend hours & hours roaming the Chantrees woods behind mum & dad’s, looking down fox & badger holes, picking bluebells, playing around, running free & always ending up inside the magic tree scaring each other with ghost stories. These & many more are cherished memories.

The best gift I ever gave Jamie was Gideon turning up as a surprise at his 30th party. He nearly fainted. Gid was simply beautiful.

We loved him like a brother.

There is a much brighter star shinning in heaven tonight.

Dear Angela, John, Ben, Frankie, Christian and Daniel

Knocking conkers out of trees,

digging tunnels in the garden,

drinking Coke and burping,

staying up late to watch a vampire movie,

discussing whether The Submariner would beat The Hulk or Spiderman in a fight,

listening to Ann Elk from Monty Python over and over on reel-to-reel tape.

I have a thousand memories of time spent with Gid when we were boys. All of it fun. All of it exciting.

He was always cool and yet always kind.

He was my friend.

I am hugely saddened at his passing but will remember every moment of our childhood we spent together with joy.

I am Truly shocked and oh so very sad to hear of Gids passing.

I’d have to think he’d out live us all

He was so feisty and full of life

Truely heartbroken to hear he is gone

The Harries Family are such a Beautiful and Exceptional soulful family

I had met Ben and played music with him

and they All made coming to their house a great pleasure

They made Everyone Family

and I always remember Gid as fesity full of life and frankly untoucheable by any one on Heaven or Earth

He just wouldn’t accept any less

One would expect he’d out last all of us

But when ya are at that level

the Angels could use some help

But Gid has a higher calling

We can only have solace that he has been called up for Greater Things

And you know he will be there to make fun of us when we get there
