Condolences
I was truly touched by Darcy depiction of him and his brother Bruce, and most importantly how life led them down to totally different paths.
My reason for being immensely touched as I also have 2 sons and I always pray that life is kind to them too.
Yet no matter what as parents we do sometimes our children have to live and lead thier own lives though we may not always agree.
I hope that Allah (god) gives you all as a family and most importantly as parents the patience and strength to carry on and continue to live for your shining example of a son Darcy.
Allah (god) guide you and protect you all
Prayers forever for your loss of Bruce
My family and I send our prayers to you and all of your family at this time. I had the pleasure of getting to know Scott during an interview with our family and I have the greatest respect for him and am saddened to hear of your son’s passing. I am late in sending this as I had not heard until now of this tragedy and I can only hope that your family finds comfort in all the love and support you seem to be given.

Scott – so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your son. My heart aches for you and your family. And, my thoughts and prayers are with you now, as yours have been with my son Scott for so many years now. You are a special, kind human being and I can only imagine that Bruce was also. I hope you and your family can find strength, peace and support to guide you through this difficult time. xoxo
A traditional gaelic blessing for Bruce…
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rains fall soft upon your fields
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
On behalf of the people of Edmonton, please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of your precious child. Edmonton and this Oiler fan will keep you in her prayers.
We think of Bruce and you – his family – every day and our hearts ache for your loss. You should be so proud of the exceptional young man you raised! Three of my children worked with your son in Calgary at WHC – Zach, Rachel & Jordan. Bruce was a very close friend of my oldest son, Zach, and I had the pleasure of meeting him many times. He was the funniest guy – the stories my kids tell, make me laugh just thinking how goofy and hilarious he was. My younger son sums up Bruce as the definition of “charisma”! Bruce was this white light that blazed through our lives so quickly but all of us are better for having known him. He truly was one of the brightest sparks! We will all miss him so terribly. Our prayers are with you at this time. Have faith that time actually will ease your pain and that someday there will be a new “normal” for you. Take care.
So sorry to hear of the passing of your son Bruce. My thoughts and prayers are with the Oake Family.
Sorry to hear of your loss. Very upsetting. Bruce was a great person with a huge personality. He dated my best friend Stephanie Morash in Halifax before he moved back to Calgary. He will be missed. I wish I would have had a chance to talk with him recently. He will be missed!
Our heartfelt condolences on your great loss. We only know you from HNIC but we are sure your son will go to his final rest with the love of many with him.
Scott, Ann & Darcy – We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Bruce. You are in our thoughts. The fond memories will keep him in your heart forever.
Scott, Anne and Dacry:

I am so very sorry for your loss.
Having battled with addiction myself I can tell you how diffcult it is, and how important family and support is.
Not all of us make it, and it does not mean that HE was not strong. Nor does it
mean that YOU could or should have done
more. If addiction was easy to cure it
wouldn’t be the problem it is.
God Bless You and give you strength in this trying time.
Terry Harvey and the Harvey Family.
We were so sorry to learn of your son’s death. May you find strength in cherished memories.
Our heartfelt condolences. God bless you and give you strength.
May you take comfort in knowing that Bruce is now is a place of love, joy, and everlasting peace. When again you are together, grief will have seemed but a single droplet in endless ocean of love.
We wish to express our condolences for the loss of your son Bruce. Thinking of you as you celebrate an amazing life that sadly has been taken from you.

I had the pleasure of working with Bruce as his Manager at World Health. He was a remarkable and a talented young man, one of our best. He will be dearly missed. I will always remember his warm smile and his sense of humor. It tears me apart to know that I will never experience his boisterous greeting and multiple nick names he had given me, Uncle T and T Dog. The one nickname that he gave me which I am most proud of is friend. The entire World Health family send you our condolences.

I just wanted to send my condolences to the family. I am “Hollohan’s” girlfriend and knew Bruce quite well. He always had a smile on and was always a gentleman to me. My favorite memory is of him asking to borrow my tweezers so he could get rid of an ingrown hair in his nose. Always concerned about how pretty he was! Going to miss him dearly!
