Condolences
I too lost my dad in May of 2013, he worked for Quan Carruther’s King and Quan, in the 80’s I believe, he always talked about how great Mr Carrther’s was to him, and the rest of the Engineer’s, and staff, he was near retirement, and was hired to help with mail distribution and other jobs, thank you for those memories of happy days for my dad, his name was James(Jim Quinn). We had lost my mom in 1978.
Regards Carol Quinn
I too worked at Quan Carruthers King and Quan. I may have met Fred once or twice in my time there, as I was only in their office for two years before being loaned out to a client. The Quan Carruthers King and Quan days will always be fondly remembered. Sorry to hear of his passing. I know Bruce passed away long ago, David Quan a while ago but am not aware of Art King lately. Leslie, if you happen to see this get in touch. I remember you !!
I was trying to reconnect with a former colleague which lead me to Fred Carruthers obituary. My very first full time job out of high school was a typist at Quan, Carruthers, King & Quan Consultants Ltd., 35 Oak Street in Rexdale, Ontario. The year was 1979 and I was 19 years old. I worked there for 7 years and I still remember Fred’s friendly face when he would pop in periodically to say hi. He was so friendly and cordial and lighted a room just by entering it. He was so genuine. My condolences to his family and friends.
