Condolences
To Jack’s family
Our sincere sympathy on Jack’s passing. We remember him with fondness at our Stewart Reunion. My mother-in-law is a cousin. Her mother and Jack’s father were brother and sister. We keep up on the family through Muriel. Just want you to know your Kyle Sk cousins are thinking of you.
Dear Stewart family – I am very saddened to read about Jack’s passing. First of all, I was also born in Tuberose (nee: Hesla) and actually my late sister Irene’s husband Gordon Turner was Jack’s cousin! I also had the pleasure of doing business with Jack, because I was in the advertsing business as well for over 30 years, with Western Living magazine and Pattison Outdoor. And every time I drove through Canmore we wondered how he was doing! Jack was a gentleman, always friendly and accomodating and very respected in our industry.
My husband and I send you our sincere condolences and our thoughts are with you.
Warmest regards, Glenna and Peter Vanderlinden.
To Gary, Sharlene, Caylee and Ryan,
We were saddened to read of the passing of your father and grandfather. We remember him so well Caylee, for the many times he came to your basketball games over the years. He was always a bright smiling face and had a warm smile and handshake. He was always so friendly and personable whenever we had a chance to talk. He seemed like a wonderful man and a very positive influence on those around him. I am sure that he will be deeply missed in your family. Losing a parent is always such a break with your roots and your past and one of the great challenges in the cycle of life.
We wish you God’s peace and comfort at this difficult time. Warmest Regards.
The Tolley Family
Over the years I’ve worked on and off with Jack on many Stampede projects. He was one of the most gracious men I have had the pleasure to deal with – always a smile, a kind word…even when I goofed up… a bright spot in the day when he came by the shop. He will be missed by many, I’m so glad I knew him.
I grew up across the street from the Stewart home in Fillmore. Jack was 6 years older than I and was always my idol. Jack taught me to play the drums. We haven’t seen much of each other over the last 60 years but I’ve always admired Jack’s abilities. We are sad to see him go. We are sorry we won’t be able to make the funeral as we are out of town, but we will be thinking of him.
Our condolences to the family.
Dear Gloria…. I was so saddened to read of your dear father’s passing today…. my sincere condolences to you and your family at this sad time…. Though we have lost touch over the years… I often think about the good times we have shared. I am in the phone book… call me when you are up to it….. or if there is anything I can do for you….
Charismatic Jack … his photo captures him perfectly. Our thoughts are with you Gloria and Bryce. We know that you will be comforted with fond memories of your time together.
Love to the family.
To the Stewart Families: So many fond memories of Uncle Jack, he was a true gentleman, uncle and friend. Gone to a special place where Viv is waiting. What a special couple finaly togeather again. Thinking of you!
Having worked for Jack for 7 years at Stewart Advertising, he holds a special place in my heart and that of my family who also know him well. I am a better man for having known him. Jack was more than an employer, he was a friend and always treated me as such. He was and is one of the good ones whom I know will be truly missed in this city but welcomed home by those on the other side. Rest in peace Jack… you have earned it!
