Condolences
Dear Carle & Elizabeth
On behalf of the Calgary Civic Symphony as well as my personal family, and my sister Lynn, we send you our condolences on the sudden passing of your dad.
We hold you dearly in our thoughts and prayers and may you find peace and comfort when sharing the beautiful gift of music which is his legacy.
Manon and Kurt
Marnie, Corrado and I send our condolences on the passing of your father. I was so interested to read about his musical career and interests. I am sure he had major impact on the world of music and those who enjoy and make it. What a treasured memory!
We were saddened to read of Scot’s passing but remember his infectious smile. He always had a kind word when we saw him at church or at his music shop.
To Carle and all your family – sad to see the passing of a bit of Calgary music history. Scot was my standpartner several times in the University Orchestra and also did repairs to my violin and bow in the shop. I have fond memories of him. My thoughts and prayers are with you. – Anne Lyon
To the Family of Scot DUGUID:
Please accept our condolences at this time. Please know that Scot and Carle and the family will be in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
Sincerely
Clare Beers and Tim Buehner
To Carle and Elizabeth:
We share fond memories of Scot, not just as a wonderful musician and husband but as a Soroptimister companion to Marguerite; also as our first USANA distributor. What a great encourager he was! And how determined! I remember his joyful phone call to say he’d mastered swallowing the supplements with his chin down! We will all miss your Dad – the gentle gentleman with the lovely smile.
Ann & Mark.
Dear Carle . Please accept our condolences upon the death of your father. I did not know him personally but Scot’s Music did supply our daughters with books of music for the piano. He was always pleasant to deal with in the shop. We are thinking of you at this time and we are sure that you will treasure memories of his life. Most sincerely, Jan and Robert LeBlond
We were saddened to hear of the passing of your father on the day of his 92nd birthday. He surely lived life to the fullest and was an example of someone who lived his life by following his dream and never giving up. What a truly remarkable husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather!
Marni, we send you and your family our deepest sympathy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Marni & Carle:
So very sorry to learn of your dad’s passing. Whenever I would go to Scot’s Music, your mother and dad were so accommodating and helpful to me. If there was something I needed and they didn’t have it for me, they’d offer to order it in for me. Your dad always had a welcoming smile and time for a little chat no matter how busy he was.
I remember the store when it was across from Viscount Bennett School and later he moved it right off 17th Ave. S.W., right close to us here in Glendale Meadows.
Cecile joins me in extending our heartfelt condolences to you both and to your families in your loss of a fine gentleman and entrepreneurial “Canadian original”.
