Condolences
Marian Rupert and Family
What a wonderful group of words in the paper you have chosen for my Aunt Betty. You have captured her memory well!! A very kind Lady who never forgot my birthday and every time we met in person Aunt Betty was so “positive” on LIFE and people, my memory will always be her warm smile and always the laugh or chuckle, Aunt Betty shared with Me in our conversations. All the Best!! and Thank-you for all your care for My Aunt Betty
To Mrs. Lamb’s family:
I am very sorry that you have lost Mrs. Lamb. She was a lovely lady, and she and Mr. Lamb were good friends to my parents for many decades.
I still think of when she was in a coma in 2005, at the very same time my mother was in a coma on the same floor at the same hospital. My mother did not wake up, but Mrs. Lamb recovered to enjoy more happy years, a real inspiration.
With sincere condolences,
Penny
Dear Marian, Rupe and Family,
I was really sorry to hear about your Mum. Both your parents played a big role in our lives. I always marveled at how your Mum was able to calmly manage the hectic life your Dad led. She never seemed to panic and always kept her sense of humour.
We really enjoyed our visits with her in Calgary and Rancho Mirage and we were thrilled to be able to invite her to Waterton and enjoy her company there. She was always the perfect guest. She always offered to help and when we said we didn’t need it, she sat and talked to us or entertained herself whichever she knew was the best course of action. And if we did need help – she had to make gravy for us on more than one occasion as I recall – she did so happily.
I can remember at the age of 82 she couldn’t believe that she managed the 3 km walk around Waterton with only one small rest. I hope I am that active and alert at that age.
Love,
Susan
Marian….
I’ll never forget your Mom and Dad.
They treated the rookie at CFCN in 1961
like no other “bosses”.
Our thoughts are with you.
Marian, Rupert and family:
Our heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. Our thoughts will be with all of you at Betty’s funeral service. Your parents were a remarkable couple and we were privileged to have known them.
Because Bob was such a positive influence in George’s life, and was truly a mentor to him, it was through this special relationship over the years that we came to value both your parents’ positive influence in our lives.
We will remember them both with love always.
With warm regards
George and Dolores Merchant
Dear Marian, Rupe and Family,
Bruce and I were so sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. She was a major influence in my life, growing up (as was Bob). Your mum was so matter-of-fact, so smart, and so generous of spirit. Despite her gentle nature, she was also an incredibly strong person who dealt with adversity admirably. She will be missed.
Love,
Tracey and Bruce
