Obituary
Obituary of LAMB – Betty Janet
Born April 2, 1922 in Edmonton, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2011. Betty was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Janet Winslow, her beloved grandson Robbie, her husband Bob and her son David. She is survived by her daughter Marian (Rupert), granddaughter Gillian (Troy), step grandson Kris, her great-grandchildren Evan and Nathan, her sister Nan and brother Denis, Bob’s brother Alvin (Eva) and sister Helen, as well as numerous special nieces and nephews. Betty met Bob in high school and they married after her nurse’s training. They travelled much of the globe together and loved entertaining their many friends and family in Calgary and in Rancho Mirage, California. Betty had a passion for making others laugh and feeling welcome within the Lamb fold. Without a doubt, Betty knew the meaning of life was to LIVE! “Gigi” will be remembered as a great lady and missed by us all. A true matriarch in the very best sense of the word, Betty was the core of our family. It is because of her strength and her belief in us that we are truly better people for having known her. Betty left this world a devoted Edmonton Eskimo and Oilers fan — happily, her only fault.
