Condolences
I don’t know if any of you will read this, since it’s been almost a year now – I just found this page, and I have to say that I am so grateful for your thoughts. I still miss him!
Dorothy, I’d love to get in touch – my web site is http://www.judithmcrae.com – my e-mail address is available from there.
It was with great sadness that I read about Gordon and my thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Gordon was a great inspiration to many of us who shared his love of painting. I met Gordon through an art class and he later became a member of our art group. I loved to watch people view his art, and then laugh out loud at his imaginative titles which gave his pieces a whole new meaning. He will be greatly missed in the art community. With sincere regards, Christine Mitchell
My deepest sympathies on the loss of Gordon, I had the great pleasure of working with him on a variety of projects and his creativity and humour always made for some great times, he will be sorely missed, Peter.
As friends of Andrew’s we had the pleasure of meeting Gordon on a number of occasions. His good humour, sharp wit and pure friendliness were always in evidence. Our deepest sympathy to all and especially to Andrew and Judith.
Dear Judith and Andrew,
My thoughts are very much with you at the loss of your father. It was my privilege to have become a painting friend of Gordon and will never forget his hearty laugh and sunny disposition. Judith, it is many years since we met at the “Parlour Shows” but please get in touch for lunch and a few tears. The world will be a smaller place without Gordon’s presence.
Love, Dorothy
Judy, Andy and families:
My deepest sympathies on the loss of Gordon.
I worked with Gord at Wagner/Reid in the late 1970’s and always had the highest regard for him. Gord always something to say that made me laugh.
I will be thinking about you.

I was so sorry to learn of your father’s death. I remember him from his days at Knox and enjoyed working with him in a number of areas. I always valued his opinions, his wisdom, his advice. He was missed when he left Knox and Calgary.
My heartfelt sympathy in your loss

Dear Judith and Andrew and Family and Friends,
Gordon was a very special person in my life. He was my sunday school teacher, political ally, mentor, and dear friend. We shared so many wonderful experiences and it’s so hard to realize that he’s gone. Gordon was an artistic genius and his legacy will be remembered and shared by so many. Please accept my sincere best wishes. With regret I am out of the country for the service, but Gordon will always be in my heart.
We are so grateful that Erin and Andrew brought Gord into our lives. It was a pleasure to have known him, to have enjoyed his hospitality in Procter, and to have delighted in his off-beat sense of humour. We’ll miss him, and our Christmas phone chats.
