Obituary of BARKLEY – Robert Bruce

June 16, 1926 – February 23, 2011 Bruce Barkley, beloved husband for fifty-four years of Lois Barkley of Cochrane, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Bruce was born in Calgary, raised in Springbank and moved to the Cochrane district in 1958 and farmed there the rest of his life. Bruce is survived by his loving wife Lois (nee Toone), three daughters Jill Springate, Myrna Barkley (Tony Amaro) and Lori Barkley (Tom Babott), grandchildren Christopher (Janice) Dougherty, Toni (Hung) Quang, Kelsey Springate, Leah Springate, Alex Amaro, Tamara Amaro and Makalu Babott, great granddaughters Elijah, Hayden and Miricah Quang, sister-in-law Joyce Barkley. He was predeceased by his brother Bernard Barkley and sister Carmen Cook Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Cochrane Funeral Home (369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB), on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
