Condolences
Dianna,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I often thought what a very nice Dad you had. So full of life and to be there to listen to us.
I remember your dad from when you and I first met in grade 9 @ A.E. Cross and later at Ernest Manning High School.
Tonite at bowling, Norm was remembered by our league at Glammorgan. I had the pleasure of being on Norm’s team for a few years, and I used to look forward to every Friday night when I got to spend time with him and Hilda. At that time, spouses could not be on the same team. He could care less about his own bowling, but just enjoyed evenings with people and would keep one eye on Hilda’s scores so that he could encourage…or tease her…depending on the night.
Norm was a father like figure to me, and it was my honor to spend MANY Friday nights with such a gentle, kind, and caring man. He always had a sparkle in his eye, and I could see in the way that he looked at Hilda that his life was complete with her by his side.
You lose track of people as they move on from our league, but I was saddened tonite when I learned of Norm’s passing. He was very special to me and I will always remember him as someone I looked up to and hold dear in my heart.
My condolences, especially to Hilda who could care less about her bowling as well…as long as her Norman was having a good time.
Leah
Hilda
Our deepest condolences to you and your family. So sorry to hear of Norm’s passing.
Millie and Kurt Schieman
Norm will be fondly remembered and missed by the community of Gladstone Gdns SW.
He voluntered his expertise and service on the Condo Board as grounds and landscaping maintenance.
He was an avid gardener along with his wife Hilda, and his showy snap dragons were admired by all who live here.
Rest in peace Norm.
