Condolences
Chris and Mark:
We were beneficiaries of the largesse of Cyril’s garden and his ability to tell a great story.
In recent years the 2 elder brothers would spend time together but as Joe and Cyril both had hearing problems, interpreters were often needed at these get-togethers and we enjoyed being able to come along in that capacity and spend time with Cyril.
May he rest in peace and may your memories of your father bring you comfort.
Jo-Anne and Michael
Look at the smile on his face…it was just ever-present!!!…along with the twinkle in his eyes. I loved, and remember fondly, his wry and dry sense of humour. Sure ‘n’ now, ’twas probably the Irish in the blood!!! :)
Like my brother Allan, I fondly remember our Summer holiday visits to Calgary and to Prince Albert, and the Cassidy Family visits with us in North Vancouver.
Of course, none of us ever knew Wilfred or Pearl but we certainly did Aunt Marge, Uncle Joe, our Dad Tom, and Uncle Dick. Now, just fill me jar with the Nectar of the Gods and let’s raise a toast to the passing of their generation!!!
Bon Voyage, Uncle Cyril…
Cheers, Brian.
My condolences, Cyril was always a pleasure to see. Linda and I attended a few lunches with Joe and Cyril over the years and it was a treat to see them enjoying their time together.

I remember my uncle Cyril from those great Cassidy Family visits. Either we would travel through Alberta and stop in Calgary, or uncle Cyril & family would come to BC. and visit us. We had good Cassidy family times, back in the 1960’s. I so miss those days, cousins Chris & Mark sorry for your, ( our ) loss. Thank you uncle Cyril, for good memories.
Cyril will also be missed by his extended family, Dora Norgaard, and Kurt and Trudy Madsen. Cy was always ready to help. One time when he was in his 80’s he was helping do some plumbing. When he was done, he swung the blow torch around behind himself while he looked over his work and nearly set his son, Chris’ pants on fire. Nearly. He enjoyed Christmas’ and family get togethers. He will be missed.
It was wonderful to see Uncle Cyril grow old gracefully and stay in contact with his little brother, Joe. They were good support for each other. Thanks Uncle Cyril, for being such a great part of the Cassidy heritage. Our hearts are with you Chris, Mark, Brenda and Gillian.

I remember the summer days I would spend with Cyril, Pearl, Chris and Mark.
What a kind and patient man Cyril was. To this day I envy the gardens he
used to tend, the variety of plants he cultivated. It seemed he was always
trying something new and different. He will be missed. Our condolences
to Chris and Mark
