Obituary of CASSIDY – Cyril Cy Edward
March 31, 1915 – January 31, 2011
Cyril Cassidy of Calgary, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the age of 95 years.
Cyril was born in Owen Sound, ON and grew up in Prince Albert, SK. He served with the RCAF during World War II as an aircraft engine mechanic, stationed at Claresholm and Penhold. Most of his career was as an instrument technician with Canadian Western Natural Gas until his retirement in 1979. He enjoyed gardening and puttering around the family home in Hillhurst. Cyril will be remembered as a loving husband and father.
Cyril is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris Cassidy and Brenda Markel of Drumheller, AB, Mark Cassidy and Gillian Owen of Calgary.
He was predeceased by his wife Pearl in 1996, and six brothers and sisters.
