Obituary of MILLER – John Wellington

May 13, 1927 – January 26, 2011 John Wellington Miller beloved husband of Joan of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the age of 83 years. John was born in Detroit, Michigan and spent most of his working life with Canada Safeway, a career that spanned forty years. John enjoyed working out, playing badminton and was an active member of the Field House in Regina and the Shawnessy YMCA in Calgary. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening and football and was an avid Rider fan. He enjoyed visiting and going for coffee with his friends from the YMCA. Besides his loving wife Joan, John is survived by his four sons, Neil and Sharon, Greg and Sharon, Paul and Sharon, and Max; daughter, Susan and David Flaman; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Kem and Jack Brooks, sister-in-law Eileen Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
