Condolences
Barbara and Laurie, Mom and I are sad to hear about the passing of Ron. Karen called Mom from Florida to let her know. Mom is in St Thomas hospital at the moment and not very well but she wanted you to know she is thinking about you both.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you both.
Margaret Nobbs, Mary Lynne Laplante and Family.
Please add my thoughts of sympathy to the many I know you are receiving over the loss of Ron. The service today brought back the many times we we shared both good and bad for the advancement of Calgary Region scouting. Norm’s remarks about Ron’s intuition to collect good people to the cause brought to mind the fact that there were at least 6 Regional Presidents out of his recruiting. An amazing record really and such work from him was only typical and it made the region so strong.
I know you and the family will miss him as do we all who knew and worked with him.
Your closing poem was beautiful and Laurie’s was the nicest amd most heart felt tribute of the whole day.
My best personal regards
Al Briggs.
Dear Barb and Family,
We were so sorry to hear about Ron’s passing. We heard about it by email from the Cotterills, we are in Hawaii until March 9th. I have many happy memories working with Ron over the years, particularly the Woodbadge Courses in Hawaii and Santa Catilina. Our sincerest condolences to you and your family.
Love Jim and Bev

Dear Laurie and Family; We just want to let you know how sorry we are to hear of your Dad’s passing. Linda Matuska, who I was in nursing school with and who I used to curl with, told me last week that he was ill. I will call you later to catch up. In sympathy-Keith and Heather
So sorry to hear of our uncle’s passing. I hope everyone is coping as well as they can, and know they are in our thoughts. love you all.
Barb: Donna and I are deeply saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. We have so very many fond memories of him. I can truthfully say that working with Ron was a highlite in my career as a collegue and I’ll forever be thankful for his hiring me to be an Executive with Scouts Canada back in 1976. We will sorely miss him and share your sorrow during this difficult time.
