Obituary of McINTOSH – Helen Doreen Thurley

July 28, 1925– January 15, 2011 Helen McIntosh, beloved wife of Lawrie McIntosh of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the age of 85 years. Helen was born Cartierville, QC. In her first marriage, before being widowed Helen was an army wife who lived in many cities in Canada as well as overseas. She loved her grandchildren and the great grandchildren. She also spent a lot of time volunteering at The Kirby Centre as well as appearing in some of their fashion shows. Helen loved to dance and she and Lawrie used to go dancing almost every Saturday night. That is were they met. She will be missed by all her family. Besides her loving husband, Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Don Kewley; two sons Ron O’Grady and David O’Grady and his wife Ebi; step-children, Cameron McIntosh and Wanda and her husband Jeff Weber; grandchildren, Kris Kewley and his wife Rebecca, Allyson and her husband Paul Matchett, Jon Kewley and his wife Megan, Kevin O’Grady, Randy O’Grady, Kinsey Weber and Kylie Weber; great-grandchildren, Sophia Hunter, Elizabeth and Scarlett Kewley. She was predeceased by her first husband Charlie O’Grady in 1993 and her sister Ethel Dorrell in 2007.
