Obituary of YAMAMOTO – Asaye

May 14, 1916 – January 6, 2011 Asaye Yamamoto passed away peacefully in Calgary on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the age of 94. Asaye was born in Kuze, Japan. She came to Canada on December 12, 1932. She lived in Vancouver, B.C., Magrath, AB, Creston, B.C., Langley, B.C. and Calgary. She is survived by her children, Kaichi Nishimura (Lynn), Kinuyo Minamide, Miyuki Thomas (Dan), Takeshi Yamamoto (Sandra), Amy Yamamoto (Mauro), Julia Taylor (Keith) and Stewart Yamamoto (Darlene), fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Kimi Yamaguchi in Japan. She was predeceased by her husband, Mitsuyoshi, and children Jane and Lee. A private family service will be held to celebrate the life of our mother, grandmother and GG. Asaye’s family gratefully acknowledges the care and companionship given to her by the staff of Trinity Lodge. We also wish to thank the staff at Chinook Hospice.
