Obituary of O’DONNELL – Bridget Anne

September 13, 1934 – December 17, 2010 Nurturing and Loving until she passed away on December 17, 2010, Bridget is now at peace. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Fernie; her husband of 39 years, Patrick O’Donnell; daughter Rosemary; and sisters Mary Susan and Catherine. Born in St. Laurent, Quebec, Bridget grew up in Fife, Scotland where she trained as a nurse, marrying Patrick in 1957. The family returned to Montreal, Quebec in 1961. Bridget worked at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for 35 years. In 2005, she moved to Calgary, Alberta to be with her family. Bridget’s Montréal friends and neighbours remained dear to her after she moved. Bridget will remain forever in the fond memory of her children Janet, Ellen-Anne (Eric), and John; grandchildren Victor, Bridget, Dirk, Nadia, Patrick, Jessica, Rebecca and Erica; brothers John, James and Thomas Fernie; and her sister Janet Kennerell; as well as her many nieces and nephews. A private family memorial will be held in the new year in Ontario. Bridget will be buried at Cote-des-Neiges Cemetery in Montreal Quebec, beside her late husband and daughter.
