Condolences
Ray was one of the nicest people I knew. He was giving of his time and talents, and had his priorities in order. We will miss his cheerful smile, and his kindness.
Jim
Ray will missed forever by those of us lucky enough to have to worked with him. Though he had been retired from Fleischmann’s for many years, we remaining few here thought of him often. This place was made better for all times by having Ray look after it for over 40 years.
As President of the Calgary Alberta Clock and Watch Collectors Association, I would like to send our most sincere codolences to Ray’s family.
The loss of a friend and mentor to many of our members is always difficult to accept, especially at this special time of the year.
Ray had been a valued member for several decades and was always appearing in our annual show’s.
The members selected Ray to be our very first Honorable Lifetime Member, when the award was established a few years ago. There were only three people holding this honour.
We will all miss Ray and send our best wishes to his family.
Ray
I will miss you old friend, but will always think of you when I look at, and hear the chimes, of my grandfathers New Haven mantle clock that you restored for me.
Larry
Ray struck me both as a gentleman and a gentle man. Anyone can accomplish the former but the latter is a gift of grace. I enjoyed my time with Ray very much and would very much like to have known him as a younger, healthier man.
I am very sorry to see him go.
Kevin
I’ve lost a dear friend and my expert on everything. I know he wanted to go but I feel sorry for me, being left behind, I think is the hardest. Ray knew all about that because I know he died of a broken heart.
Now I know how he felt. Rest in peace and may God’s grace be with you both always.
The staff at Safeway Southcenter would like to express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Mr. Goldsmith has been a patient of ours for quite a few years, and we have always enjoyed having him at our store. He was a pleasure to serve. His friendly and personble demeanor made him a favorite amongst our staff. He was always pleasant, never in a bad mood; just a nice person to be around. We will miss having him at our store, but it’s been a pleasure having him.
Sincerely,
The staff at Safeway Pharmacy Southcenter
Gail, Jim, Mathew
Don, Liz
We are greatly saddened by the passing of our dear neighbor and treasured friend. We will miss him dearly as we have Louise as they were like family. As neighbors we couldn’t have had better. They were always there for us and couldn’t do enough if they thought they were needed.
When Ray found out we were part of the Pequegnat Family of clock makers unbeknown to me he one day presented me with a Pequegnat clock. This I will cherish forever.
“GOD BLESS” you all.
Ralph & Bernice Smith
