Obituary of KELLY – Patrick A. T.

January 9, 1941 – November 23, 2010 Patrick passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Patrick had a distinguished career as a professor at Mount Royal College in the Computer Science department for thirty-five years. With his strength in computer science, he created computer games and wrote articles which helped advance computer systems and software. He also worked to integrate computing into the Lord Strathcona’s Horse Royal Canadians. In Patrick’s younger years he enjoyed bowling, skiing, movies and reading science fiction novels. In his later years, he developed a keen interest in golf, traveling and poker. Patrick is survived by his soul-mate Phyllis (Betsy); his two sons, Douglas (Azra) and Patrick (Cindy); his brother, William (Bill); and his sisters; Sue (Doug) Bagnall and Kathleen Kelly. He will be missed by two grand children, Kaitlyn and Nicholas, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Patrick was predeceased by his wife, Christine Margaret Kelly, his parents, Wilfrid and Jeanne and two brothers, Robin and Jack.
