Obituary of PERROTTA – Bruno

July 26, 1961 – November 23, 2010 Bruno Perrotta beloved husband of Cathy Perrotta of Airdrie, passed away on November 23, 2010 at the age of 49 years. He was born in Spirit River, Alberta and lived his life in Eaglesham, Edmonton, Fort St. John and Airdrie. After being educated at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, he married Cathy Thomas on July 11, 1987 and together they had two sons, Phillip and Alexander. Bruno worked as an Assistant Manager for Safeway before becoming a Boston Pizza Franchisee in Airdrie in 1992 where he won the Turnaround Award. In 1998 he began work for Cadbury Chocolate and won two Star awards for outstanding performance. Bruno was an extraordinary husband, father, son and brother. He loved soccer, both playing it and coaching Phillip and Alex’s teams for 15 years. He loved ballroom dancing with his wife and travelling with his family. Bruno was funny and kind and loved people. He loved cooking and enjoying food with friends and family. He was generous of nature and had a joie de vivre that drew people to him. Bruno is survived by his loving wife Cathy; sons, Phillip and Alexander; mother, Alma; sisters, Margaret and Anita; brother-in-law Wayne; nephews, Derek (Loraleen) and Cole; and numerous extended family. He is predeceased by his father, Sam, and sister, Elsie. A celebration of life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
