Condolences
We have just learned of Anne’s passing. We send our sincere condolences to the family. Like Anne we treasure the Crawford home where we now live. It is a very special place.
Kate,
Your mother was a fine, fine person. She would have been tickled and proud of the eulogies given by you and your brother.
Since I have been fortunate enough to know Anne through her work at the Herald and socially through our informal “Friends of Friday” group, she has always been a breath of fresh air and a ray of sunshine when she entered the room. Anne remembered everyone and took time to speak with all our friends. She will be missed by all of us.

Last night, I drove by Anne’s Priddis paradise, the snow shadows blue under a silver moon. I drive by most days, but this time, there was a certain peace to this special spot. It will always be “Anne’s Place”.
You walked tall, thought tall, and touched everyone you met with your honesty and sincerity. Whether it be in a boardroom or in a cattleman’s pasture.
Our days at the Herald are a distant past; I choose to remember you in the Priddis Valley, where we both found reprieve from the craziness of it all.
Here, your soul truly rests in peace, Anne.
Your retreat lives on, forever.
May your memory always be bathed in sunlight, and moonlight.
Wendy
I was so sorry to hear of Anne’s passing.
I have fond memories of interesting conversations and trail rides at Priddis.
My sincere condolences.
I was fortunate enough to share an office with Anne while I was at Venture. We had so many laughs and talked often about her children and grandchildren. Anne, I will miss your smile and the laughs we shared, I will especially miss the way you used to tease me about being too noisy. My condolences go out to all of your family.
As a member of Glenbow’s Board of Governors, Anne was a valued contributor to the museum and its role in the Calgary community. Her dedication to the institution and her love of history and culture are missed by us all.
I knew Anne when we both worked at the Herald.
She stood tall and I always appreciated her good sense on any topic we tackled.
No nonsense is an apt descriptor.
My sincere condolences to all of her family.
Anne was truly one of a kind. My fondest memories are of Anne and I working together at Venture. We often came out of meetings together and it took but seconds to get Anne’s opinion on the meeting, the people or the banality of the project – I always laughed at her quick and pointed comments. I loved working with her and she will be missed dearly by anyone that had the privilege of meeting her.

Anne was a truly one-of-a-kind lady, and I was very fortunate to work with her. She will definitely be missed.
For many years, I had the pleasure of working with Anne at Venture Communications. Anne was my mentor, friend, trusted colleague and advisor on work and life issues. I deeply admired her wisdom, straight-shooter style of communicating and most of all, her tender heart. She spoke often of her kids and was over the moon to become a grandmother. I am deeply honoured to have known Anne and to call her my friend. I will miss her and send my condolences to her family. What an amazing lady who leaves such a wonderful legacy.
I have very fond memories of Anne. She was a wonderful person to know and work alongside.
To the family, I wish you all the smiles she offered through her life, in her loving memory. Anne, I wish you peace and happiness.
My condolences.
It was good working with Anne. I recall the sound of her voice as she’d walk by in the hall, and something about it always made me smile. She was a kind person. I miss her already.
I came to know Anne when I joined the Board of the Glenbow Museum. I found her to be a very friendly, charming and courteous person.
She was very articulate and her opinon was highly valued by other board members. She was also dedicated to the mission of Glenbow.
Her passing away is a great loss not only to Glenbow but to the larger Calgary community as well.
My sincere condolences to her family.
