Obituary of HUNTER – John Everson Jack

September 21, 1929 – October 29, 2010 John Everson “Jack” passed away peacefully on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Jack was born on September 21, 1929 near Dewberry, AB. He lived on the family farm until 1940 when his family moved to Calgary. He lived in Ogden and started dating the love of his life, Edith Moss, at the tender age of sixteen. Jack and Edith were married on June 1, 1951. Jack’s love for the country never left him and in 1972 he moved his family to the Red Deer Lake area. He took great pride in maintaining his acreage. That and the love and care he had for his family and friends were his passions. Jack was a successful landman mostly with Canadian Export Gas & Oil, in its various incarnations, for thirty-four years. Jack was predeceased by his wife, Edith, parents Bert and Bella, sister Pat and brother Brian. He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Dave Jacobus and Sandy and DeVery Yarborough; grandchildren, Tracy (Jesse) Oman, Derek (Stacy) Jacobus, and Winter Yarborough; as well as great-granddaughter, Rylie Jacobus. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held at the family residence at Red Deer Lake on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
