Dear Susan,
Your mom was a very special lady and will be sadly missed. When I was a kid, I thought she was the most glamorous person I’d ever seen. Her hair was amazing! And I marveled over her type-written letters. She had the kind of laugh that made you feel like the funniest person in the world, and she had a sense of warmth and elegance that were entirely her own. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
