Condolences
So sorry and shocked as I just found out now that Doug had passed away. I went to William Aberhart High School and became friends with Doug. I can remember being over at his house (his parents) and he showed me stacks and stacks of National Geographic magazines. I may have met Doug again either at University or bumped into him downtown as I also was in the oil industry for many years. Doug was a really nice guy with a gentle spirit – he will be missed by this world.
Our hearts are saddened by the sudden loss of such a dear and caring cousin! Doug and Esther will be sorely missed at our family reunions. They were both so interested in sharing and encouraging-so genuinely concerned about each one! May God comfort and sustain you, Kendall, Steven, David, Jennifer, Glen, Don and families as you mourn the loss of your Dad and brother, knowing we shall meet again in Heaven.
When the news came of Doug’s passing, we were shocked and saddened. This was so unexpected. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loving family as they mourn the loss of their beloved Dad and older brother. Doug was a special cousin to all the Quantz’. Not only was he one of the older ones we all looked up to, he was genuine, kind and caring. He had a winning smile, cute laugh and eyes that twinkled and so many likeable characteristics. He will be sorely missed and we look forward to the big reunion in heaven.
Doug’s ever present smile and gentle spirit will be greatly missed. His smile always made a person feel that he was REALLY glad to see you. A genuine interest in everyone.
We pray for the comfort of Jesus for each of you and rejoice in the knowledge that we will see him again.
Love, Auntie Elsa, Uncle Walter, Grace and John Roman
In times like these we think back to our youth and life will go on forever! It does not and we now have holes in our hearts for those that go before us. With sympathy,
Earl and Leanne
Doug spent many years between 1993 and 2007 as a Board member and avid supporter of the Southern Alberta Brain Injury Society (SABIS). He was an inspiration and shinning example of what it means to help those in need because it is the right thing to do. This is a significant loss to our community and on behalf of SABIS we sincerely wish the family much love and peace at this very difficult time.
Sincerely,
Lisa Somers
This is so sudden and unexpected and I know we who are left here on earth will miss him so but we have the knowledge that he is with Our Lord and Saviour. His friendliness towards others plus his smile is what I will the miss the most. My condolences go out to you-Steven & Kendall, David & Jennifer and to his brothers & families. I pray that the Lord will sustain you through your moments of grief.
We are so shocked and so saddened by the unexpected death of Doug. He was a very special cousin and we have so many good memories of him and the fun times we had together. He was always so friendly and genuinely interested in everybody and what they were doing. He truly cared and we will all remember his smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time and may you feel God’s presence comforting you.
We will never forget the constant smile on Doug’s face and the warmth that emanated from his gentle spirit. His lifelong love and devotion to his Saviour Jesus Christ stands on permanent record in both, Doug’s lifelong testimony, and in the great Book of Life.
“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things future, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38,39, NKJV).
Wishing Doug’s family our greatest sympathy.
Love, The Dobrzanski’s
To our dear cousins and family.
We are truly shocked and saddened by Doug’s passing – especially within such a short time of Ester’s loss. Although we will not be able to be with you on Friday, know that our prayers are with you and we look forward to an early opportunity to meet up soon and reflect on his life and good memories we we hold extra carefully at this time. God Bless and strengthen you all.
Lloyd and Sharon Quantz
Please be assured of our prayers in these days. I’m sure that Doug’s sudden passing will leave a very real void in your lives. What rejoicing in heaven with Esther and all the other “Quantz” relatives.
“For me to live is Christ but to die is gain……….”
May God grant His comfort, and sustain you during this difficult time
With our deepest sympathy and prayers,
Reggie & Alice
