Condolences
Chris, This evening I was looking at old pictures with my daughter, Elizabeth, and I showed her one of you and Verne from the early 1950’s. I told her that I had lost touch with both of you and she found Verne’s obituary online. Verne was my cousin Olga Hancock’s daughter. I am so sorry to hear the sad news and I send you my condolences. I will remember Verne and you in happy times in Calgary. Todd Olsen
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
I am saddened by the loss of a great friend. Memories of our phone chats or visits will not soon be forgotten.
We were so sad to hear of Vern’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and Christian. God Bless You and your families in this time and always.

We were certainly saddened to see Verne’s
death notice in today’s Herald. Thinking of you Chris & Family at this sad time. You are certainly in our prayers.
Worked with you both at Inn for the Cold at Knox Church – Sunday Evenings for many years. Enjoyed your companionship, dedication & compassion for the less fortunate. Verne always had a smile , a kind word & empathy for our guests at the Inn. She is now at Rest.
Wishing you comfort and peace at this difficult time. All our memories of Auntie Verne are happy ones — it was our blessing to have had her in our family. May you find comfort in the memories that are yours to cherish always, and strength in the companionship of those who share your loss. With love,
