Obituary of NELSON – Estella Marlyne

December 12, 1932 – October 6, 2010 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Estella “Marlyne” Nelson beloved wife of Edward, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the age of 77 years. Besides Edward, her loving husband of fifty-six years, Marlyne is survived by her children, Debbie (Norm) Evans of Lethbridge, Jacquie (Darry) Markle of High River and Norine (John) Crosby of Lethbridge; eight grandchildren, David, Lyndsey (Jeff), Michael (Melisa), Jenny (Casey), Suzanne (Brandon), Derek, Myles, and Amber; and four great-grandchildren, Drew, Autumn, Faith, and Sean. Marlyne was born on December 12, 1932 in Consort, AB to Austin and Stella Canfield. She grew up in Veteran, AB alongside her three siblings, Bernice (Romey), Helen (Dave) and Mervin (Marge). Marlyne trained at the Holy Cross Hospital and worked in numerous medical offices throughout her career. She was a true gypsy, always on the go travelling, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Her hands were seldom idle, always doing some form of fancy work to give as gifts to all her family and friends. She always became very involved in her community in both work and volunteer positions. Funeral Services will be held at ST. BENEDICT’S ANGLICAN CHURCH (602 – 3 Street West, High River, AB ) on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
