I was an old friend of Keith’s and I have many fond memories of him. We lost touch after high school and a few years ago, something reminded me of him and I decided to try and Facebook him and found his obituary instead. Today on his birthday, I thought of him again and wanted to pay my condolences. He was a spirited person and an important part of my adolescence. I’m sorry for your loss.

The only comfort I can offer is a lovely saying from a wise man who, when asked about death, described it as “taking off a pair of tight shoes.” Although we pass, love felt and expressed never does.
