Obituary of STANILAND – Keith Robert

June 30, 1983 – October 4, 2010 Keith passed away on October 4, 2010 at the age of 27 years. Keith is lovingly remembered as gentle, thoughtful young man with a heart of gold and a mind full of questions. Growing up, Keith was always curious to understand the world around him and enjoyed learning about the great outdoors and its creatures from his father. He appreciated his time spent with family and friends, especially weekends and vacations at the family cottage at Gull Lake. He kept a wry smile while helping his dad with the never ending landscaping efforts on his parents’ acreage. Keith had strong design and artistic talent that he had most recently expressed through welding. He had finished his Welder education at SAIT and was near completing his journeyman certification. Keith’s life was not always an easy one. Regardless, his love for his family stayed true and their world is more wonderful for having had him with them. We trust that Keith has found peace. Keith is survived by his parents, Rob and Nancy Staniland; his sister Emily Staniland; grandmothers Kathleen Staniland and Christine McDonald; aunts, uncles (cousins) Terri Lynn Staniland and Bryan Brunet (Joffre and Alexandra), Kathy Staniland and David Pavan (Ben and Sara), John and Marilyn Staniland, Mike Staniland, Scott Staniland (Mackenzie) and many extended family members in Calgary, Edmonton and British Columbia. Keith was predeceased by his grandfathers Roy Staniland and Bill Good. A Celebration of Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Friday , October 8, 2010 at 1 p.m. .
