Condolences
Hi Bonnie I’m very sorry to here about your dad . I was happen to be in Fergis last weekend the Highland games I was thinking about you I wanted to call you to see how are you doing. The last time I talk to you when you called me in Harrow few years back.
My dad was a good friend of Jack’s. Jack would often phone our home late at night (Calgary time) to talk to my dad (Don Cushing).
We remember Jack
To everyone in Jack’s family our condolences and our prayers are with you.

Dear Steve, Dee, Sandy and Family –
Condolences on the loss of your beloved father. One of my fondest memories of your dad as a child involves a pony and buggy – and a wild ride! Your dad was funny, kind hearted and generous.
Gather strength from memories of good times you shared over the years with your dad and family.
In our thoughts.

Dear Steven, Dianne, Sandy and Family,
We were deeply saddened to read in the paper, the passing of your Dad, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. It is very true, that “Uncle Jack” will be remembered for his colourful personality. He enjoyed life and although he travelled a hard road at times, he was a very blessed man, being loved and supported by you, Steven, Dianne, Sandy and Family.
Today, I remember the good old times we enjoyed together at our home on William St., (even picking the raspberries), and the fun times at the cottage on Conestogo Lake. Dad and Jack were not only brothers, they were friends. We hope that your memories of happy times together will help you through today and the days to come.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love Karen, Rob and Family

Sorry to hear of Uncle Jack’s passing. Jo and I are sorry that we will not be able to attend the service. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, Steve, Dianne and Sandy, and all of your families. We will now have our Uncle Jack stories to add to those of Grandma and Grandpa Shortreed. Uncle Jack will definitely not be forgotten for he was unique in his own way. Will try to visit you all when we are back in Ontario. Pat and Johanna.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We feel so lucky to have spent some time with Jack earlier this year during our vist to Calgary, his spirits were high, and he was happy to be home again after his treatment.
Dear Steve, Barb and family

Dear Barb, Steve and family

Love, Sharon, Jimi and boys
I am so very sorry to learn of Jack’s death. He was a friend of my late husband, and of mine for over 40 years. We were separated by great distance during most of those years, but contact was always maintained. It was such a pleasure to have Jack and Barb visit PEI, and I regret so much that I was never able to make it to Calgary. We talked on the phone often, and I will miss those calls. My deepest sympathy to all the family.
