Obituary of WARD – Shannon Louise

July 16, 1959 – September 23, 2010 Heaven took our Angel too soon . . . It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Shannon Louise Ward, loving wife, devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, on the morning of Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the age of 51 years. Shannon met her soul mate, Darrell in December of 1973, on the ski hill at Paskapoo. She and Darrell were married on July 24, 1982. She was an amazing and supportive mother, devoting her life to her family; an avid reader and an enjoyer of the outdoors. She adored her two dogs, as well as all animals. Shannon enjoyed travelling to exotic places and loved the Rocky Mountains. She had an incredible sense of humour, and spent many hours joking around with her family. She was a remarkable and astonishing person and will be sadly missed, but always loved. Shannon is survived by her beloved husband of twenty-eight years, Darrell; son Sean and his wife Beth; daughter Stacey and her support Brandon; her mother Isa; brother Steve and his wife Linda; sister Leslie and her husband Jim. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Dick. A Celebration of Shannon’s Life will be held at the Lake Sundance Residents Association, Sundance Room, 63 Suncrest Way S.E., Calgary on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
