Condolences
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother. I will continue to remember Lois as a bright, cheerful and positive lady. I know the past years have been a real struggle for her and your family, but now her suffering is over and she is free from pain.
My thoughts are with you and your family as you grieve for the loss of your loved one. Lois was a very special lady: sweet – – – a lovely, lovely person. Maybe the stanza from a favorite poem will touch you as it does me:
So here I am at last, and you are there,
The same as you have always been, the true,
The final and the necessary care.
All that I am and hope to be is you.
[From “A Song for Rising” by Edgar Bowers in Collected Poems, 1997]
Maureen, Heather and families,
My sincerest regrets at the loss of your mom. You and I will miss her greatly.
I loved her for her love of the Lord, her love of her family, her wonderful friendship and that great sense of style.
I am confident she is safely in the arms of the Lord, free of pain and now watching over you keeping you safe as always.
Sincerely,
Linda Campbell

I am privileged to have Lois as a dear friend for over 62 years. We have laughed and cried together over the years and her friendship is one I will cherish as long as I live. She was like a sister to me and although I will miss her terribly, I am comforted to know she no longer has the pain she has endured with such grace for so very long. Farewell my dearest friend, until we meet again. My very sincerest consolences to all the family.

It is with much sadness that I learned of the passing of your Mother, Maureen. I always enjoyed her company and she was truly a charming lady. She didn’t deserve all the illness and adversity that she had been through. Please accept my deepest sympathy to all of you. Lucille Whitney
It is with tears and smiles as I read the beautiful tribute to a sweet, compassionate and classy lady. I knew Lois through the years she attended Faith Lutheran Church. She became “Grandma Lois” to my four children. She was a wonderful friend and support to me and to our family. We have fond memories of our times at Sylvan Lake with Art and Lois. It was difficult to watch her go through her painful times, as she struggled through these past few years. She will be greatly missed. The blessing is that she is our “Angel” now and that she is finally free from pain!… My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time…. Wendy McLeod Kelowna, B.C.
Heather Maureen and family. We are devastated by the news of your mother’s passing. She was a dear friend, as you are, and we send our prayers and love at this most difficult time. She will remain in our hearts, Jenny and Anthony.
Maureen, Heather and family,
I am so sorry for your loss.
I worked with Lois as her physiotherapist for more than ten years. I am honored to have also called her my friend.
She was a delight to work with, always trying to make the best of her situation.
Her beautiful spirit will stay with all of us who knew her.
With sadddest regards,
Louise Taylor
To the family – what a beautiful tribute and what good memories you treasure and carry into the future.

Dear Heather and Maureen. I got to know your mum quite well when I worked in the Legislature with your dad. We enjoyed planning the teas in the Speaker’s Suite. She was a beautiful lady in every sense of the word.
My condolences to you both.
