Obituary of TUER – Jesse David

April 24, 1979 – August 23, 2010 “I’ll lend you for a little while, a child of mine He said” It is with great sadness and grief that David and Linda Tuer announce the sudden and tragic loss of their wonderful son, Jesse David Tuer of Calgary, on Monday, August 23, 2010 at the age of 31 years. Jesse was the loving father to his son, Jacob (age 4) and daughter, Mason (age 2). He adored their mother, Amy. Jesse was a beloved brother to Darcy and Adrienne Tuer, Shannon and Michael MacLeod, and Matthew Tuer. Their children Griffin Tuer, Ruby Tuer, and Rex MacLeod will miss many things without Jesse in their lives. He loved and was loved by a large family of aunts and uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews, together with his Grandfather Marty and Grandma Alice. His family extended to Amy’s parents, Patti and Peter Naaykens and brother Adam, who helped him in his life with Amy. We have all come together to support one another as we mourn the terrible loss we feel. We all stood by Jesse as he struggled with his life’s challenges over the past few years, particularly through his long recovery from a near fatal car accident some two years ago. Jesse had just begun his return to work at the company he helped to found with his brother Darcy many years ago, but on August 23, we lost our very precious son as he went peacefully into that long dark night, joining his sister Amanda Leigh and his grandparents, Arnold and Lois Tuer. The world became a little less bright on that day. Please keep Jesse’s memory in your hearts by remembering and talking about the times you spent with him. Remember his great sense of humour, his fierce love for his entire family, and the joy he may have shared with you when he talked about his children. We are so very thankful to have Jesse live on through their lives. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Jesse loved beautiful things, including flowers, but much more than that he loved to help. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice, or make someone in your life a little happier with something you do. In living memory of Jesse Tuer, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH Telephone: (403) 276-2296.
