Obituary of Robert Graham Q.C. BLACK

June 3, 1922-August 23, 2010 Robert Graham Black Q.C., beloved husband of Evelyn, died peacefully at home on Monday, August 23, 2010. Robert was born in Provost, Alberta on June 3, 1922. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1945 and began a very influential practice of Law which spanned over forty-five years. He and Evelyn were married in 1948 and spent their married life in Calgary. Robert was a devoted father to their three children and a wonderful grandfather to their five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a valued friend, a calm influence, a trusted advisor and a “general practitioner” ever at ease in furnishing advice to persons in all walks of life. Robert is survived by his wife Evelyn, son Jay (Catherine), daughters Betsy (Doug Hickey), Wilma (Shane Heath) and grandchildren David (Stephanie Shaw), Stéphanie, Evelyn, Emily, Jay and great-grandchild Liam. Robert is also survived by his sister Jean Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
