Obituary of SWANN – Margaret

January 9, 1923 – August 19, 2010 Margaret Swann, beloved wife of the late Richard Swann, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Marg was born in Edmonton Alberta. She married Richard in 1945 and they began their married life together in Taber, Alberta. Marg and Rich then moved and settled in Calgary until 1974, where they raised their five children Linda (Michael Folk), David (Laureen), Peter (Paula), Susan (Paul Saracini), and Robin (Tom Sparkes). Marg was also blessed with fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Rich and Marg later spent twenty eight idyllic years living at the farm near Priddis where Marg greatly enjoyed gardening, walking, baking, bird watching, reading, traveling, playing bridge and hosting many happy gatherings with family and friends. Marg had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for being a loving and gracious woman. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Marg Swann was predeceased by her loving husband Richard Swann in 2004.
