While visiting Halifax last week I read the obit. Carl and I are cousins (his mum and my mum were first cousins. I spent many summers as a child in Dartmouth and Carl (buddy) taught me to swim. Last saw him in Calgary with his parents and Phil years ago. My deepest sympathy as I remember him as such a kind, brilliant man. perhaps it was Marilyn who met my Aunt Adelaide in Toronto. So sorry to hear of your loss. We were not aware of Carl’s health problems and wish we had maintained closer contact. Unfortunately, we will be in Halifax on October 9 and will be unable to attend the celebration.
