Obituary of COURTNEY – Norma Ravina

November 21, 1931 – August 3, 2010 Norma Ravina Courtney, much loved mother and grandmother passed away at Rockyview General Hospital on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 after a short illness. Norma was born in Whitchurch Township, Ontario and lived in many cities and towns, gathering friends as she went. She was well known for her gardens and her cinnamon buns, but mostly for her warm and generous nature. Norma will be sadly missed by son Robert and his children, Erin, Victoria, Brent, and Isabelle; son Don and his wife Kathy and their children, Christopher and Andrew; and daughter Lee and her husband Jeff Gauld and their children, Kyle and Kayla. She is also survived by her sister Loyal Reina and brother Robert Steckley. She was predeceased by her youngest son David and sister Joan Ribble and special friend Al. She leaves behind many friends and neighbours who adored her throughout the community. At Norma’s request, no formal service will be held. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Canyon Meadows Community Hall, 848 Cantabrian Drive S.W. Please RSVP to leecourtney@shaw.ca.
