Obituary of SPIELMAN – Allen Bruce
November 24, 1934 – July 5, 2010
Allen Spielman beloved husband of Beverley Spielman for fifty-three years, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the age of 75 years.
Allen was a native born Calgarian. He was employed as a Correctional Officer for thirty years at CCI. He was actively involved with the Air Cadets, Air Force Association Of Canada; Lions Club; For The Love Of Children Society; White Hatters He received life memberships of the AUPE, Air Force Association and the Air Cadet League of Alberta. Allen received three International President’s Awards for the Lions International Youth Exchange and has also received the Canada 125 Medal and the Alberta Jubilee Medallion.
Allen is survived by his wife Beverley, two daughters Kendall Spielman and Karen Spielman, son Keith and daughter-in-law Nadine, three grandchildren Toni, Keith Jr. and Andrew Spielman. Allen is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron (Shirley) and Bain (Marlene), as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Allen was predeceased by his twin brother Alvin, and his parents Leila and Henry.Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through .
