Condolences
To Bob and Jan Clare and family:
We were saddened to hear of your Dad’s passing. We remember both your Mom and Barney from the early days of St Davids. A really fine couple. I know there will be a big hole in your hearts and we send our sympathy to all of you.
Sincerely, Tom and Shirley Swanby
Michael, Jamie, Joan, John, Bob, Jan, Graeme, Allison, Stuart,
We are holding you close to our hearts today as you honor your Dad/Grandpa and say goodbye. He and our Lizzie will no doubt be hangin’ out, possibly having a round or two (golf and/or cool one???).You were all so wonderful to him…a true example for the rest of us. Hold onto those great memories and to each other. With heartfelt love, Al and Casey
My condolences to the family of Barney Clare, whom I met while entertaining on piano at Scenic Acres Retirement Residence. Barney would be brought from SLU and was always so friendly. I would say to him,”Good morning, Barney, how are you today?” He would say, “Well I’m not dead yet; at least I don’t think I am”. I would give him a little pinch, and would say, “No, you’re not!” Then we would both laugh. When my hour of entertaining was over I would always say good-bye to him and wish him a good day. In recent months he was not there and I did not know that he was moved to Bow Crest, and I missed him. I wish I had known him years ago. You must be very proud of your Dad. Sincerely, Clare Beers
I knew Barney for many years, first at Imperial Oil and later when he was my investment advisor. He was a wonderful person who always had a smile and time for a chat. My condolences to all of the family.
