Even though I didn’t know your mom well, her love for her family was so evident. I’ll never forget the amazing tri-folds of photographs and special memories she made for Annalise and Nick when they graduated from High School. Such a beautiful way to showcase her love for her precious grandchildren.

Deanna and I enjoyed a most pleasant friendship over the years she and the family attended Cambrian Heights Church of Christ. We volunteered together at the Crisis Pregnancy Center, now named Calgary Pregnancy Care Center. My late husband and I were privileged to be hosted by Deanna and Wally in their home. They were a beautiful picture of love and faithfulness. I look forward to our meeting in heaven.

My sincerest condolince to Wally and your family in the passing of your dear Wife , Mother and Grandmother Deanna Slater. I will always cherish the times and talks we had together,Heaven gained a beautiful Angel and she is resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior! Rest In Peace my friend.

Deanna was a beautiful loving Christian and valiant warrior for Her Savior. Her memory will always be cherished. Just as she had prepared bridal gowns for many clients, she now is wearing her own heavenly white bridal gown.

Deanna enjoyed family gatherings and she will certainly be missed whenever our families have future times together.

She was brave and accepting of her terminal illness.

As a part of her extended family I feel her loss; I extend my sympathy to all members of her immediate family and her friends. Special condolence is offered to her husband Wallace.

Dear Wally, Alyson, Andrea, Angela and families–

I have such fond memories of your mother and our many fun times gathered at our two cabins. I recall her often making very subtle jokes, accompanied by a half smile and a wink. She certainly doted on all the grandchildren and was her most vivacious in their presence.
