Obituary of CHARUK – Eugene Walter

July 14, 1930 – June 16, 2010 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of a wonderful man, Gene Charuk of Calgary on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the age of 79 years. He was born in Vegreville, Alberta on July 14, 1930. Gene is survived by his loving wife Peggy; daughter and son in law Bev and Ken Fournie; grandsons Nick (Sarah) and Joel (Michelle); his son David of Michener Centre in Red Deer, Alberta. Gene also leaves behind brothers Marshall (Nellie), Michael (Phyllis), Nestor (Jackie); his dear sister in law Claire, and numerous loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by son Paul in 1985. Gene had a long career with the Credit Union movement in Calgary, loved to read and was passionate about the game of golf. Gene truly touched the lives of many. He was a kind, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway’s Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences to www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
