I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your husband, Rob and dad to Taylor and Brendan. My husband Rob and I only knew your husband for a short time through Hospice Calgary. My husband was also diagnosed with brain cancer in September 2009 and this is when we met your Rob. He became Rob #1 and my Rob was called Rob #2 at the Hospice. There was a immediate connection and support. Your Rob had a wonderful sense of humor he was a talented writer and there was always stories about his boys and Shelley. He was a proud father and husband. My Rob died at 53 years of age this January. I also have two children. I just wanted to let you know, I know the intense loss this is for you and your family. We want to pass on our condolences to you and your family. Thinking of you .

Shelley, Mary and I express our deepest sympathies over the loss of Robert, your best friend, and Taylor and Brendan over the loss of your loving Dad. Robert (known to me as Bobby) was my best friend growing up in Windsor, Ontario. We truly enjoyed our childhood and teen years together, with many fond rememberances. I shall indeed miss my dear friend. I know that he has gone home to Heaven to be with the Lord, where one day again we will be re-united with all “the saints in glory gathered by the crystal sea”.
Our prayers are with you Shelley!

Losing Rob has left us with a true ache in our hearts and a struggle to find understanding for all that has transpired the last year and a half.
We find comfort in talking of our memories shared with your family. Some include special zoo trips with the kids to crazy soap wrapping before your Open House.
Rob was always present. Whether it be settling the kids with a book or giving you one of his great back massages after a long day.
We are so very thankful for all the times.
We will miss Rob more than he will ever know.
Love to you Shelley and to the boys xoxo

Sympathy to you and the boys.

Dear Shelley & family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time.
We will all miss Robert’s wonderful enthusiasm!
Our love and prayers continue to surround your family. Robert was such an inspiration – gentle and joyous and patient are just a few of the words to describe him. It is said that There are only a few things that matter in life. How did you live. How did you love and how did you learn when to let go. Letting go will be a unique process for each of you. You will remember, enjoy and reflect on many moments from time to time throughout your lives that will see you through. Knowing that our amazing God will continue to bless you by recalling ‘these glimpses’ of Robert when you need them the most. With love and concern Ina Wrigley

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. We will truly miss Robert’s vim and vigor and passion in everything he did – it was an inspiration and lesson for all of us that will continue.
Shelly Brendan and Taylor, we are saddened by your loss and we all will miss Robert and his zest for life.
Our thoughts are with you.
It is with great sadness that I have learned through my son Scott, of Bobby’s passing. My thoughts and heart go out to his wife and children, parents, Colleen and Robert and all his brothers and sisters. He is still Bobby to me as he was when we all lived together in Windsor many years ago. He and my son were great competitors on the Dominion golf course in those days. I’m sure that Bobby’s love and influence will remain with all those that he touched throughout his journey in this life, short as it was. Rest in peace Bobby, your valiant struggle is over.
